SoLEXS

Solar Low-Energy X-ray Spectrometer

Two SDD detectors covering 2–22 keV at ~180 eV resolution, sampling soft X-ray flux every second. Characterises the thermal phase of solar flares and feeds real-time spectroscopy to ground.

Integration plan

  1. 01Ingest SoLEXS soft X-ray (2–22 keV) light curves from ISSDC PRADAN at 1-second cadence.
  2. 02Ingest HEL1OS hard X-ray (8–150 keV) CdTe and CZT light curves from ISSDC PRADAN.
  3. 03Engineer 20 features per second — rolling statistics, derivatives, spectral hardness ratios.
  4. 04Run Random Forest classifier to predict P(quiet), P(pre-flare), P(flare) every 60 seconds.
  5. 05Serve predictions via FastAPI — frontend displays live nowcast and 30/60-minute forecast.
